This is a fundraising event for Soroptimist International of the Tri-Cities a 501(c)3 non-profit organization (Tax I.D. #41-2029267) and for the Newark Chamber of Commerce. A portion of the event proceeds will be donated to Soroptimist International of the Tri-Cities’ Project Soft Landings. A project providing educational opportunities, job interview preparation and financial assistance to women in need going through major life transitions.

Soroptimist is an international organization for business and professional women who work to improve the lives of women and girls, in local communities and throughout the world. Almost 95,000 Soroptimists in about 120 countries and territories contribute time and financial support to community–based and international projects that benefit women and girls.

The name, Soroptimist, means "best for women," and that's what the organization strives to achieve. Soroptimists are women at their best, working to help other women to be their best.

The Newark Chamber of Commerce is comprised of about 300 member businesses all dedicated to the continued success of our fellow members and our community. We are a part of the area often referred to as the Tri-Cities – which includes Fremont, Union City, and of course Newark.
